Set against the backdrop of sixteenth century Bengal under the Karrani Sultanate, the play is a compelling exploration of faith, power, love, and the devastating consequences of social exclusion.
- Celebrated for his valor and military brilliance, Rajiv Lochan’s life takes an unforeseen turn when love, conviction, and social orthodoxy collide. As the man once revered by his people finds himself rejected by the very society that shaped him, admiration gives way to alienation and conviction yields to vengeance. History remembers him as Kala Pahar, a name that continues to evoke both fear and debate centuries later.
