- At a remote border outpost, Sub-Inspector Subinay Mustafi was asked by Customs officer Promod Sanyal to intercept a smuggler. Mustafi apprehended a mentally unstable, uneducated rural woman completely unaware of her involvement in any crime, carrying a figurine with two hidden diamonds.
- Promod’s suspicious eagerness to seize the items prompted Mustafi to investigate further, revealing that the figurine itself was made of heroin – far more valuable than the diamonds. Mustafi realized Promod had orchestrated the entire smuggling operation, using both the police and the vulnerable woman as pawns.
- The diamonds were a distraction while Promod planned to claim the heroin-figurine, leaving the defenseless woman to face charges.
- The play progresses while Mustafi formally accused the high-ranking official.However, Promod wouldn’t accept defeat from a rural Sub-Inspector. The confrontation escalates into something far more dangerous than either man anticipated.
