Madhukori – A chronicle of unrequited love, emotions, confused relationships and hero worship

• Madhukori, an epic creation of master novelist Buddhadeb Guha, charts the journey of Prithu Ghosh, a foreign trained engineer and high official in an MNC, an avid lover, extremely emotional yet strong person, who wanted to live the royal life of a tiger, self made and self sufficient.

• He doesn’t want to be influenced by society, family, women or love. He believes in a new way of life, where everybody – men and women from different walks of life have equal importance and respect.

• But Prithu learns the hard way that an emotional person cannot live like a wild tiger, he has to go begging for love, affection and solace from his wife Rusha to his first love Kurchi to a whore Bijlee.

• This journey is termed Madhukori (which means begging for alms by a saint for his sustenance only). The plot is set in various areas of Madhya Pradesh.
