Mahakaal

• “Mahakaal” the eternal flow of time which is the unmeasured form of our earthly time and can not be conceptualized by earthly meters is continuously flowing through it’s tiring path in nowhere. He tries memorizing the moment when once life has been born through him. The universal consciousness, ‘Chetana’ tries to invite as well as instigate ‘Shakti’ (the pure energy) to come out of Mahakal and start the process of creation once again. Shakti being awaken manifests herself in the five elements one by one.
  1. Akash, the vast blank space unshaped, unheard, with no smell, no color still, Incomplete
  as it does not have death nor life.
  2. Then comes Pawan, the wind the unsteady, full of speeds in it. It’s existence can be felt
  only by touch.
  3. Third comes Prithwi, the earth, which is the base of all the shapes created by Shakti but
  it is dry now, incomplete lifeless.
  4. Therefore comes the Water, the source of life.
  5. And finally comes the Fire, the source of light, heat.
  ‘Srishti’ has been bloomed and opens it’s petals in rhythm, everywhere there is beauty lies in the form of life. Shakti transmitted herself amongst her creations. But something still lacks. Chetana with the five elements, having the energy of Shakti creates human being to complete the Srishti. As Srishti needs a leader who can keep it’s works germinated prosperously, in the form of men the subtlest among the creation which inherits all the qualities of the five energy bodies of Shakti. But human being, the minute reflection of the ultimate existence of Shakti forget all his duty getting induced by the negative energies like hatred, anger, greed, ego. He tries to overpower everything, even mother nature, who has been raising him up with love and care. Nature tries her best to make him realize the purpose he has been created for, but being blind by the glaze of power human fails to see though. Chetana finds herself defeated and desperately looks for Shakti, but Shakti is nowhere. Chetana being tired, disappear herself within the still and steady existence of Mahakal, bearing the hope that Shakti will awoke again one day and Srishti will again be flourished with all it’s prosperity.

• “Kalabati aajo” A Dance Theatre Production based on Poem of Joydeep Chattopadhyay.
• Kalabati’s story is a powerful testament to a mother’s love and resilience. Forced to confront the harsh reality of female infanticide in her family, Kalabati’s journey takes a poignant turn when she decides to save her 10th child, a daughter, from the same fate. With courage and determination, she embarks on an uncertain path, challenging societal norms and fighting for her child’s life. Kalabati’s story sheds light on the struggles women face and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child.
