অরকুটে যুক্ত হলো বাল্টিমোর ও নদীয়া

• বীক্ষণ- এর পরিচিতি : ‘বাঘাযতীন বীক্ষণ’ ২ ডিসেম্বর ২০২৩ সালে গঠিত একটি নাটকের দল। আমাদের দল একদমই নতুন এবং আমাদের দলের সদস্য-সদস্যাদের গড় বয়স ২৫ এবং আমরা সকলেই ‘রবীন্দ্রভারতী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়’- এর নাট্য বিভাগের বর্তমান এবং প্রাক্তন ছাত্র-ছাত্রী। আমাদের বর্তমান প্রযোজনা গুলি হল রাতের পরে দিন, আতঙ্কের দিনগুলি, অরকুটে যুক্ত হল বাল্টিমোর আর নদীয়া ও মগজ।
• নির্দেশকের পরিচিতি : এই সময়ের এক্কেবারে তরুণ এক নাট্যকর্মী, অভিনেতা ও নির্দেশক হলেন সায়ক। তিনি নিজের প্রতিভার ছাপ ইতিমধ্যেই ফেলা শুরু করেছেন । তিনি গত ১০ বছর ধরে কসবা অর্ঘ্য, চেতনা, যুগগ্নি, রঙ্গভূমি ইত্যাদি নাট্য দলের সঙ্গে কাজ করে এসেছেন ও এখনও যাচ্ছেন। তাছাড়া উনি রবীন্দ্রভারতী বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের নাটক বিভাগ থেকে নির্দেশনায় স্নাতকোত্তর হয়েছেন। উনি যে সমস্ত মঞ্চ নাটক পরিচালনা করেছেন সেগুলি হল ঘোড়ামুখো পালা, সাঁওতাল বিদ্রোহ, ফিনিক্স, তামাকু সেবনের অপকারিতা, রাতের পরে দিন , অরকুটে যুক্ত হল বাল্টিমোর আর নদীয়া ও মগজ।
• নাটক নিয়ে নির্দেশকের কথা : যুদ্ধ, হিংসা এসব তো থাকবেই এর তো কোন শেষ আমরা খুঁজে পাচ্ছিনা। দীর্ঘদিন আমরা দৌড়ে যাচ্ছি জীবনের জাঁতাকলে জানিনা এর শেষ কোথায়। এত ভারী ভারী বিষয়ের মাঝে একটুখানি ভালোবাসা, সরলতা, আবেগ, স্বপ্ন, বিশ্বাস আর ভরসা নিয়েই এই নাটক।
• এই নাটক দেখে হয়তো মনে পড়বে আপনার কোন প্রিয়জনের কথা বা হয়তো ইচ্ছা করবে যে প্রতিবেশীর সাথে দীর্ঘদিন কথা বলা হয় না তার সাথে একটু কথা বলার বা হয়তো আপনার যে আত্মীয়র সাথে দীর্ঘদিন কোন যোগাযোগ নেই তার সাথে একবার কথা বলার। জানিনা এই নাটক আপনার জীবনে কি অভিঘাত এনে দেবে কিন্তু আমরা চেষ্টাই করছি যাতে আমরা আরো বেশি কাছে আসতে পারি একে অপরের, হাজার বাধা বিপত্তি আসলেও।
• নাটকের সারসংক্ষেপ : সালটা ২০০৯ অরকুটে আলাপ হয় রাজর্ষি আর দেবার্চিতার। নদীয়ার রাজর্ষি উঠতি কবি। লিটল ম্যাগাজিন করে। ফাল্গুনী রায়, শক্তি চট্টোপাধ্যায়দের নিয়ে তার দুনিয়া ( যদিও মাঝে মধ্যে ভুল লাইন বলে )। অন্যদিকে দেবার্চিতা রিসার্চ স্কলার। আমেরিকার বাল্টিমোরের  প্রবাসী হওয়া সত্ত্বেও বাংলা সাহিত্য নিয়ে তার শিক্ষা অনেক বেশি। দেবার্চিতার দুনিয়া জয় গোস্বামী, শঙ্খ ঘোষকে নিয়ে। শুরু হয় তাদের ভার্টুয়াল কথোপকথন, বন্ধুত্ব, চলতে থাকে খুনসুটি। এই ইঁদুর দৌড় আর চাহিদা যোগানের বাজারে বন্ধুত্ব কোথা থেকে তৈরী হবে কেউ জানি না। কিন্তু বন্ধুত্বের হাত যদি কেউ বাড়িয়ে দেয়!
• এদের দুজনের মাঝে হঠাৎ হঠাৎ ঢুকে পড়ে ২০২৪ সালের বিভিন্ন জুটি (Couples)। তাদের একে অপরের প্রতি রাগ, অভিমান, ভালোবাসা প্রকাশ করতে থাকে তারা। রাজর্ষি আর দেবার্চিতা কখনো মিশে যায় তাদের আবেগের সঙ্গে আবার কখনো তাদের পথ দেখায়, খারাপ সময় অতিক্রম করার এবং সময়ের এই ঘূর্ণিপাক চলতেই থাকে।

MASKS

• Masks (2025-), a Kasba Arghya production directed by Manish Mitra, is conceived as a solo performance that is mostly non-verbal and lasts for approximately thirty-five minutes. With a single actor and a starkly minimalistic design where only the actor’s body and facial expressions are highlighted, this production showcases a powerful exploration of contemporary state ideologies and apparatuses. Designed and executed to be an incisive and unignorable critique of the malignant indifference and corruptions inherent in today’s state machinery, Masks unmasks the intolerable realities of contemporary society – wherein violence against women and minorities are routinely protested against and then quickly forgotten in favour of maintaining the status quo. Featuring certain prescient moments that depict the grim picture of our times, Masks fearlessly asks the audience to ponder over how and why the state brushes away crimes against humanity to garner votes, protect the powerful, and soothe the masses under a false sense of security. With nothing but transformed physical scores sourced from a wide range of movement repertoires such as Kudiyattam, Hip-Hop, Bollywood, Kalaripayattu, and the Ballet, the actor in Masks traverses through time and space to bring to the audience the harsh truth of human existence – that every one every where is wearing a mask to hide an ugly countenance that they do not want the world to see. And at its peak, Masks presents to us the seedy underbelly of the state and society through glaring tableaux and motifs and forces us to reckon with the unmasked, naked face of today’s power systems.
