• Hello Theatre Lovers. We welcome all of you to experience the never seen before competition where 13 theatre teams will perform and claim their position for the best production, best actor, best actress and many more. You will be able to watch them for 2 consecutive days. The teams are not only confined to Kolkata, but through out West Bengal.
• You can see real life “Robots” on stage. There will be cricket matches on stage. There will be “ghosts and snakes” to give you the feel of chill. You will also get to see Hiroshima Nagasaki bomb blasts on stage and know about that person who faced both the bomb blast but was still alive. There will be a different explanation of “বর্ণপরিচয়” in a way you have never experienced. There will be satirical plays which will represent 17^th Century political environment matching up today’s situation. And guess what! You will be mesmerized to watch 6 people performing in a carpet area of only 6×4 ft. and that too flawless.

• First Day – 13^th September 2025 – Saturday

1. Baksha Batya Natyajan – “ভুল স্বর্গ” – A performance never seen before. 6 people performing in a carpet area of 6X4 ft and depicting life’s bitter truth rhyming stories from earth to heaven and to hell. (Date – 13^th September, 11.30p.m. – 11.45 p.m.) .
2. Konnagar Kisholoy – “অক্ষর” – The tremendous will power of an underprivileged girl to learn, to get educated showing thumbs down to the immense poverty which is her roadblock.
3. Nazat Sundarban Natya Utsab Committee – “ভুল রাস্তা” – Badal Sarkar ‘s “Bhul Rasta” is a play about the paths – lost and found. The play foregrounds on a carnivalesque form of performance. বাদল রাস্তা” হলো হারিয়ে যাওয়া এবং ফিরে আসা পথের এক গল্প। নাটকটি তার কার্নিভাল-সুলভ (পালা ধর্মী) অভিনয় শৈলীকে প্রাধান্য দেয়। সরকারের নাটক “ভুল
4. Durgachak Korak Association of Drama Art and Culture – “ইচ্ছে পুতুল” – The lush green sapling of a happy married life is withering and turning to wood in the hot blaze of modern higher education’s ego and individual selfishness. ‘ইচ্ছে পুতুল’ is an astonishing story of strangely returning by the help of “Robots”after nearly getting lost in life’s quicksand, all because of flouting the rules and principles established by nature. উচ্চ শিক্ষার অত্যাধুনিক ইগো আর ব্যক্তি স্বার্থপরতার গরম আঁচে শুকিয়ে কাঠ হয়ে যাচ্ছে সুখী দাম্পত্য জীবনের পল্লবিত সবুজ চারা গাছটি ।প্রকৃতির গড়ে দেওয়া নিয়ম,নীতি কে তুড়ি মেরে উড়িয়ে দিতে গিয়ে জীবনের চোরাবালিতে হারিয়ে যেতে যেতে অদ্ভুত ভাবে “রোবট এর সাহায্যে” ফিরে আসার এক অত্যাশ্চর্য কাহিনী “ইচ্ছে পুতুল” ।
5. Arkid Theatranics – “দাহ” – Corruption, Rabindranath Tagore and Illiteracy. The trio has given rise to “Daho” and here it has come through the extraordinary creation of an artist. Will the Rabindra-loving artistic soul be consumed by the fire of this conflict? Or will the fire of protest be ignited? দুর্নীতি, রবীন্দ্রনাথ ঠাকুর এবং নিরক্ষরতা—এই ত্রয়ী জন্ম দিয়েছে ‘দাহ’-র, যা একজন শিল্পীর অসাধারণ সৃষ্টির মধ্য দিয়ে এখানে উঠে এসেছে। এই দ্বন্দ্বের আগুনেই কি দাহ হবে রবীন্দ্রপ্রেমী শিল্পী সত্তা? নাকি জ্বলে উঠবে প্রতিবাদের আগুন?
6. Picnic Garden Mankur – “কফন” – The story shows the heartlessness that comes from the love for alcohol. The poverty that cannot fight death of a pregnant woman. The hunger that did not allow the last chance to life. However, the hunger for alcohol is satisfied keeping behind every humanly touch. গল্পটি মদের প্রতি আসক্তি থেকে জন্ম নেওয়া নির্দয়তাকে তুলে ধরে। এটি এমন এক দারিদ্র্যের কথা বলে যা একজন গর্ভবতী নারীর মৃত্যুকে রুখতে পারে না, এমন এক ক্ষুধার কথা বলে যা জীবনের শেষ সুযোগটুকুও কেড়ে নেয়। অথচ, সমস্ত মানবিকতাকে পেছনে ফেলে শুধু মদের নেশা মেটানো হয়।
7. Anubandhan Natya Goshthi – “আম্পায়ার” – Is cricket the only medium to earn money and fame in whatever way possible? Should there be pre-fixing of matches just to eyewash the audience and gaining money? All these questions will be answered by watching “Umpire”. ক্রিকেট কি শুধু টাকা আর খ্যাতি অর্জনের একটা মাধ্যম? ক্রিকেট খেলায় কি শুধু দর্শকদের বোকা বানিয়ে টাকা উপার্জনের জন্য আগে থেকে ম্যাচের ফল নির্ধারণ করা উচিত? “আম্পায়ার” দেখলে এই সব প্রশ্নের উত্তর পাওয়া যাবে।
8. Shovabazar Protibimbo – “থিয়েটার স্কোপ” – Is it okay that you see a 60 years lady applying  black colour hair dye is performing a role of a 25 years old girl in theatre? Or someone who can hardly walk properly is willing to be the young protagonist of a theatre production. Your answer will be “No” we believe.  This play is a witty satire about the current state of society and the various customs and characteristics of Bengali group theatres. Watch it to laugh like never before. আপনি কি থিয়েটারে এমনটা মেনে নেবেন যে, ৬০ বছর বয়সী এক মহিলা কালো চুলে কলপ লাগিয়ে ২৫ বছরের মেয়ের চরিত্রে অভিনয় করছেন? কিংবা যিনি ঠিকভাবে হাঁটতেই পারেন না, তিনি নাটকের তরুণ প্রধান চরিত্রে অভিনয় করতে ইচ্ছুক? আমাদের বিশ্বাস, আপনার উত্তর হবে ‘না’।এই নাটকটি বর্তমান সমাজ এবং বাংলার গ্রুপ থিয়েটারগুলির বিভিন্ন রীতি ও বৈশিষ্ট্য নিয়ে তৈরি একটি রম্যরচনা। হাসতে হাসতে পেটে খিল ধরতে চাইলে এই নাটকটি দেখুন।

Second Day – 14^th September 2025 – Sunday

1. Dodoor Dushtumir Class – “BREATH” – A journey of a bipolar soul. The problems it may face and the way it is resolved. A flip of character n moments due to bipolar disorder. But this diseasehas a reason. You will have to know it. (Autistic Children are a part of this play)একজন বাইপোলার মনের পথচলা। যে সমস্যাগুলোর মুখোমুখি হতে হয় এবং যেভাবে তার সমাধান হয়। বাইপোলার ডিসঅর্ডারের কারণে চরিত্রের মুহূর্তের মধ্যে পরিবর্তন। কিন্তু এই রোগের পেছনে একটি কারণ রয়েছে, যা আপনাকে জানতে হবে।
2. North Panchamukh Natyashantha – “বর্ণপরিচয়… এখনো” – We know legendary social worker and scholar wrote this masterpiece “Bornoporichoy”. He included so many great quotes to be followed in life which will make our life and society a great place to live, give us success but not in short cuts. Is anyone of us following that? Let’s watch and decide.কিংবদন্তী সমাজ সংস্কারক ও পণ্ডিত ঈশ্বরচন্দ্র বিদ্যাসাগর “বর্ণপরিচয়” গ্রন্থটি রচনা করেন। তিনি এতে এমন সব মহান উক্তি অন্তর্ভুক্ত করেছেন যা অনুসরণ করলে আমাদের জীবন ও সমাজ সুন্দর হয়ে উঠবে, আমাদের সাফল্য দেবে, কিন্তু কোনো শর্টকাটে নয়। আমাদের মধ্যে কি কেউ তা মেনে চলছি? চলুন, দেখে সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া যাক।
3. Oikotan Dakshineshwar – “রাজ দেউল” A proud king, during a time of drought and pandemic in the country, disregards his people and, relying on religion, empties the royal treasury to build a grand temple. He installs a priceless deity within it and begins the rituals, naming the temple ‘Raj Deul’ – Getting some resemblance to today’s democratic India? Don’t wait, come and watch.এক দাম্ভিক রাজা দেশের খরা ও অতিমারীর সময়ে দেশবাসীর কথা না ভেবে ধর্মকে আশ্রয় করে, রাজকোষ শূন্য করে এক বিশাল মন্দির তৈরি করেন। সেখানে বহুমূল্য দেব বিগ্রহ স্থাপন করে পুজো শুরু করে মন্দিরের নাম দিলেন ‘রাজ দেউল’। আজকের গণতান্ত্রিক ভারতের সঙ্গে এর কি কোনো মিল খুঁজে পাচ্ছেন? আর অপেক্ষা নয়, আসুন এবং দেখুন।
4. Behala Natyo joddhya – “ভুত ও ভবিষ্যৎ” – What will be your reaction if your girlfriend is getting married forcefully to a sugar daddy just because of money? You get to know this coincidentally as you broke up with her many years ago which was not her decision but her family who forced her. However now, all of a sudden you get a “Jiant” to help you to save her rom this condition. Interesting? Let’s watch. ভাবুন তো, আপনার প্রেমিকা জোর করে শুধুমাত্র টাকার জন্য এক ‘সুগার ড্যাডি’-র সাথে বিবাহবন্ধনে আবদ্ধ হচ্ছেন? বহু বছর আগে আপনাদের বিচ্ছেদ হয়েছিল, যা তার নিজের সিদ্ধান্ত ছিল না, বরং তার পরিবারই তাকে বাধ্য করেছিল। অথচ, আপনি তা জানতে পারলেন হঠাৎই।কিন্তু এখন, তাকে এই অবস্থা থেকে বাঁচানোর জন্য হঠাৎ করেই আপনার হাতে এসে পড়েছে এক ‘জিয়েন্ট’—এক বিশালাকার দৈত্য।আকর্ষণীয়, তাই না? তাহলে চলুন দেখি।
5. Ichapur Smriti Natya Sangha – “দগ্ধ ফিনিক্স” Do you know “Tsutomu Yamaguchi”? The only person in Japan to miraculously survive both the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War II. Want to know what he faced? Want to travel the time machine of Japan’s Hiroshima Nagasaki with “Tsutomu Yamaguchi”? You must. So, no more delay, buy tickets. আপনি কি সুতমু ইয়ামাগুচি-কে চেনেন? দ্বিতীয় বিশ্বযুদ্ধের শেষ প্রান্তে হিরোশিমা এবং নাগাসাকিতে দুটি বোমাবর্ষণেই অলৌকিকভাবে বেঁচে যাওয়া জাপানের একমাত্র ব্যক্তি তিনি। তিনি কীসের মুখোমুখি হয়েছিলেন, জানতে চান? সুতম ইয়ামাগুচি-র সঙ্গে জাপানের হিরোশিমা-নাগাসাকি-র টাইম মেশিনে ভ্রমণ করতে চান?অবশ্যই। তাহলে আর দেরি নয়, টিকিট কাটুন।
6. The BEWZ – “মুক্তির আনন্দ” – The prayer war towards lord Buddha for the ultimate peace and knowledge of inner self.  The fight of a lower caste young girl to the set rules of the society and the will power to break them and bring lord Buddha on earth. “বুদ্ধং শরণং গচ্ছামি”( Budhang Sharang Gacchami). The ultimate peace is achieved. Although peace is never an achievement. It is a feeling of fulfilment.  শান্তি এবং অন্তরাত্মার জ্ঞানের জন্য বুদ্ধের কাছে প্রার্থনা যুদ্ধ। সমাজের তৈরি করা নিয়মের বিরুদ্ধে এক নিম্নবর্ণের তরুণীর লড়াই এবং সেই নিয়ম ভেঙে পৃথিবীতে বুদ্ধকে নিয়ে আসার ইচ্ছা শক্তি। “বুদ্ধং শরণং গচ্ছামি”। চরম শান্তি অর্জিত হয়। যদিও শান্তি কখনও কোনো অর্জন নয়, এটি পরিপূর্ণতার এক অনুভূতি।

Prize distribution: Felicitation of Underprivileged children from the NGO Paroshmoni Welfare Society. We will give them free workshops and make stage for them so that they can earn their own.
