- In a new adaptation inspired by Anton Chekhov’s timeless masterpiece Uncle Vanya, this play explores the intricate layers of human emotions — family dysfunction, unrequited love, and the ceaseless, often futile search for meaning. Set in an old, decaying estate in Hamiltonganj, West Bengal, the characters wrestle with the stark realities of their lives, mirroring the larger questions of existence while technologies barge in with balanced animosity.
- As the once-thriving environment surrounding them begins to collapse, the play challenges us to reflect on the consequences of our own actions. What happens to us when the very world we’ve built around us starts to crumble? And how can we possibly come to terms with the fact that we are the ones who have brought about its downfall?
