• ​Core Premise: The protagonist, Aditya, is a theater worker who observes how modern society is reducing people to ant-like ‘zombies’—the living dead who blindly follow corporate dictates. Aditya crosses paths with Swapnadrasta, a teacher who has relocated from Kolkata to teach at a suburban school. The narrative gradually unfolds around them. Alongside them, students like Neha, Purab, and Pritam are severely depressed by the crushing pressures of the education system and their future prospects, an angst that adds a profound emotional weight to the play.
• ​Crisis and Conflict: Following his mother’s death, society puts immense pressure on Aditya to secure a steady income. The story takes its most harrowing turn when Swapnadrasta, while waiting for the last train at the station, is raped by a corrupt police inspector.
• ​Protest and Resistance: In the aftermath of this horrific incident, marginalized members of society—a beggar, the local tea-seller (Cha-boudi), Champa, and the students—unite to stand by Swapnadrasta and resolve to fight a legal battle. Swapnadrasta comes to a deep realization: the state machinery and the system are mentally and socially ‘raping’ the dreams and desires of ordinary people every single day.

• Suvendu Mukhopadhyay is a professional mime artist, performer, director, and theatre educator with over three decades of experience in the field of mime and performing arts. Beginning his theatre journey during his school years, he formally started his mime career in 1990 and has since worked extensively across theatre, television, cinema, and international cultural festivals. He is known for his dedication to promoting mime as a powerful form of storytelling and artistic expression.
• Suvendu Mukhopadhyay has received several prestigious recognitions from the Government of India, including the National Scholarship in Mime and the National Fellowship in Mime. He also received the Top Award at the National Youth Festival and the Second Top Award at the SAARC Youth Festival, where he represented India internationally.
• He has been honored by numerous cultural institutions for his contribution to mime and theatre. These recognitions include the Silver Jubilee Special Honor in the field of Mime (2005), felicitation by Sanskritic Samannay Manch, Gujarat (2011), recognition during the 20 Years Celebration of Arena Animation Chowrangy (2017), Parjas Samman in Theatre (2017), Akashe Superstar Award by Akash 8 Channel (2020), and the Hypokrites Samman during their 10th anniversary celebration (2020). Arunava Majumdar Award (2023) and Dr Sharvapalli Radha Krishnan Award by Voice (2024).
