- Written in the background of the mid 90s, this extremely intense and revealing play by Late Amit Maitra, travels through the core concepts of human existence. It speaks of a decoding journey whereby the meaning of life changes altogether at different junctures.
- The story revolves around the myth of an accidental act by a newborn performing a playful pull of his mother’s ‘nolok’, thereby leading to her nasal tear and striking story for the future gossip. Now this act of the past, which has always been casually discussed again and again in nostalgic environments takes an abrupt turn when certain correlative analysis is done.
- What apparently was just a childish act, turns out to be a deliberately created myth and shatters the entire societal existence of the protagonist. He is exposed to a different truth about himself and his entire take on the world changes.
- On one hand the play displays the unveiling of the myth and its hollow layers and the exposure of a different truth in it. On the other hand it speaks of core values of life and how humanity overpowers non-living matters in this universe.
- Directed and acted by Sohan Bandopadhyay, this play of 100 minutes by Nat-Ranga ensures a high tide of emotions for the audience along with a detective journey towards truth.
